409M is Ferritic stainless steel which is consists of chemical components like manganese, silicon, and carbon. The 409M alloy offers the plate’s excellent resistance to corrosion and good mechanical properties. They provide outstanding resistance to atmospheric corrosion and offer high tensile strength. These plates also offer excellent performance at high and elevated temperatures without getting damaged. Grade 410 stainless steel is a hardenable, martensitic stainless steel that features a minimum addition of 11.5% chromium.  This addition of chromium provides a significant increase in corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments where high strength and moderate heat resistance are required.  It adequately resists sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and weak acetic acid.  Alloy 410 (AMS 5504) is magnetic in both the annealed and hardened conditions. 

Type 410 stainless steel displays high strength, heat resistance, and good ductility, making it ideal for the manufacturing of products like bolts, nuts, springs and fasteners, as it can be machined after tempering or annealing.  This grade is also commonly used in manufacturing of durable cutlery and kitchen utensils, where its properties allow it to resist the acidity of food products and general corrosion.  

While 410 stainless steel materials can readily be welded, it is limited by its hardenability, and it should be pre-heated to reduce the risk of cracking. Post weld heat treatment is not necessarily needed, but recommended to retain required properties, and should be air cooled after annealing.

This special composition makes the SS 904L Plates to have high resistance against reducing acids, especially the sulfuric acid. The X2CrNi12 Sheet is manufactured from SS with ferritic structure. This sheet grade is more sensitive towards chemical precipitation. In the case rise of undesired temperatures sheets possibly bear that. The sheet phase does not change at elevated temperatures. Sheets are also easy to weld according to the conventional welding equipment. Extremely high input is avoided by the sheets depending on its seam property. To conquer manufacturing defects manufacturers use only selected material for processing these sheets. Also, they conduct heat treatment process with low cooling with water that enhances its grain structure.
